True Valor
Inside a synagogue in Kochi is a floor of blue and white tiles from China, and a clock that tells time in Hebrew, Malayalam and Roman numerals.
Walk a few minutes inland from the old harbour at Kochi and you come to a narrow street. It is still called Jew Town.
At the end of it stands a synagogue built in 1568. Step inside, look down, and the floor is blue and white porcelain from China.
The rest of this story, read aloud, and a new one every day.
