The Number Pattern Found in Poetry, Five Centuries Before Fibonacci

The famous sequence 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 was discovered in India by people counting the rhythms of poetry.

Here is a sequence most people have met. One, one, two, three, five, eight, thirteen, twenty one. Each number is the sum of the two before it.

The world calls them the Fibonacci numbers, after a man from Pisa who wrote about them in 1202.
