The Great Epics
He survived Kurukshetra. That did not mean he survived what came after.
He was Arjuna's student, Krishna's man, and one of the finest warriors on the field. He also beheaded a man at prayer, and started the brawl that destroyed his own people.
Satyaki, properly Yuyudhana, son of Satyaka, grandson of Shini, was a Vrishni, of Krishna's own clan at Dwaraka.
He was trained by Arjuna, and he was one of the very few people the epic describes as a genuine equal of the great archers. Krishna trusted him absolutely.
